Clayton Kershaw was going toe-to-toe with Mets’ ace Jacob deGrom during Game 1 of the teams’ National League Division Series on Friday, but that all changed when Daniel Murphy stepped into the batter’s box in the fourth inning. The Mets second baseman absolutely crushed a home run to right field off of Kershaw, giving the Mets a 1-0 lead at the time. Check out the towering home run for yourself in the video below. Matt Barnes On Derek Fisher: ‘We Were Good Friends At One Point’ (Video)
One day after news broke on the topic, Matt Barnes spoke to the media about the alleged incident over the weekend in which he drove over 90 miles to beat up former teammate and current New York Knicks coach Derek Fisher. To no one’s surprise, Barnes said a whole lot of nothing, but there was a bit of subtle shade thrown at Fisher. “We were friends,” Barnes said, when asked about his relationship with his former Los Angeles Lakers teammate. “We were good friends at one point.” When asked for clarification on if the two remained good friends, Barnes repeated the answer: “We were good friends at one point.” Barnes repeated...
Serena Williams Does Split During Big Comeback Win At U.S. Open (Video)
Serena Williams’ hopes of a Grand Slam were in serious trouble Friday night at the U.S. Open. Williams struggled with consistency and accuracy in the first set, as she hit 14 unforced errors and three double faults. She ended up losing the set 6-3 to fellow American Bethanie Mattek-Sands. Williams still had her chances with seven break points, but she only managed to convert one. Mattek-Sands, meanwhile, converted on both of her chances. That meant Williams needed to win the final two sets to keep her shot at a Grand Slam alive. Never count out the Williams, though. She limited her unforced errors for the rest of the match and was much ...
Pete Carroll Takes Nasty Fall During Tyler Lockett’s Kickoff Return (Video)
Now that’s going to leave a mark. Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll simply was minding his own business during Tyler Lockett’s electrifying 103-yard kickoff return for a touchdown during a preseason game against the Denver Broncos on Friday, but that all changed in an instant. The trailing referee was paying attention to Lockett as he ran down the sideline, which meant he didn’t see Carroll standing right in front of him. What ensued was an epic collision that you have to see for yourself. Ouch. That looked painful. Thumbnail photo via Joe Nicholson/USA TODAY Sports Images ...
Riley Curry Celebrates Third Birthday In Style With Dance (Video)
Riley Curry is back, and this time she’s showing off her dance moves. Curry, daughter of Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, turned 3 years old on Sunday, and she celebrated the occasion with some dancing. Her mother, Ayesha, caught the moment on video and posted it to Instagram. The birthday girl certainly rocked the Whip/Nae Nae dance, but she’s got some competition from another Bay Area athlete’s child: San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Torrey Smith’s son, TJ. Riley stole America’s heart after taking over her father’s press conference after a Game 1 of the Western Conference finals. She returned after the...

Kei Kamara’s Two Goals Too Much For Revolution, Who Fall To Crew (Video)
COLUMBUS, Ohio — MLS scoring leader Kei Kamara had two goals, and the Columbus Crew snapped a six-game winless streak with a 2-1 comeback victory over the New England Revolution on Wednesday night. Columbus (5-6-5) avenged last season’s conference semifinal 7-3 aggregate loss to New England (6-6-6), which has lost four in a row on the road and nine of its last 10 games. Kamara scored the winner with his heal in the 50th minute for his 12th goal of the season. Lee Nguyen scored for the Revolution in the first 35 seconds, drilling in a shot from the top of the 18-yard box. The Crew answered right back in the fourth minute. Hector
