The Celtics overcame a double-digit first-half deficit to beat the lowly Philadelphia 76ers 107-106 at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday night. Isaiah Thomas led the way for Boston with 37 points and seven assists. They say basketball is a game of runs. But a 19-0 run? Now that’s something you don’t see everyday in the NBA. But that one stretch proved to be the difference Monday night between the Boston Celtics and Minnesota Timberwolves. After falling behind by double digits, the C’s mounted a furious 19-0 comeback, starting with Al Horford’s jumper at the end of the third quarter. Well that was one heck of a start to the 2016-17 Boston Bruins season. The B’s hit the road for their season opener against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday night and left Nationwide Arena happy as clams following an exciting, come-from-behind 6-3 win to kick things off.
