A 17-year-old boy was shot within the leg Saturday in Lawndale on the Southwest Side.
Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert about 1:35 a.m. and located the boy on the road within the 3900 block of West Grenshaw Street, Chicago police stated. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital the place his situation was stabilized.
The boy was uncooperative and didn’t present additional info, police stated.
No one is in custody as Area North detectives examine.
