Hanley Ramirez Hits Second Home Run Of Game Vs. Yankees, Continues To Rake

Share this: BOSTON — Stop us if you’ve heard this story before, but Hanley Ramirez hit another home run. The Red Sox first baseman, who’s been going yard at an insane rate, hit a three-run blast in the fifth inning of Sunday’s game against the New York Yankees, but that apparently wasn’t enough for him. Ramirez hit a second home run, a solo shot that cleared the Green Monster, off Yankees reliever Tyler Clippard in the seventh. Ramirez now has 28 home runs this season, including 12 in his last 21 games. He hit four against the Yankees in this series alone. Red Sox Wrap: Hanley Ramirez Lifts Boston To 5-4 Comeback Win Vs. Yankees

Share this: BOSTON — It doesn’t get much more exciting than meaningful September baseball. The Red Sox finished out a four-game sweep of the New York Yankees on Sunday night despite a rough outing from starter Drew Pomeranz. The lefty put Boston in a four-run hole, but Hanley Ramirez did most of the work after that, crushing two homers to eventually give the Red Sox a 5-4 come-from-behind win. Here’s how it all went down. GAME IN A WORDHanley. When you score most of your team’s runs with two homers, you get to be the word of the game. IT WAS OVER WHEN …Koji Uehara finished out the ninth. Despite the exciting offense from the Red Sox, they still had only a one-run lead. Uehara kept it in tact,

How Did Oklahoma-Ohio State Refs Miss Joe Mixon’s Blatant Drop On Kickoff Return…

Share this: The No. 14 Oklahoma Sooners appeared well on their way to a home blowout loss against No. 3 Ohio State, but Joe Mixon changed that with an electrifying 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. The play made it 14-7 Buckeyes at the time, but upon further review, the touchdown never should have counted after Mixon dropped the ball before he reached the end zone. Somehow that was missed by the on-field refs and the replay crew. Well, the Sooners — and Mixon — certainly will take it. Thumbnail photo via Mark D. Some Yankees Fans Want To Moon David Ortiz During Final Game In New York

Share this: If you thought New York Yankees fans’ send-off for David Ortiz would be like the one Boston Red Sox fans gave Derek Jeter in his final regular-season away game in the rivalry, think again. Well, to be fair, we still don’t know what Yankees fans will do when Big Papi shows up to Yankee Stadium on Sept. 29, but it appears some New York supporters hope to show Ortiz their bare backsides. Yes, you read that right. Some Yankees fans hope to moon Ortiz when he plays his final away game in the storied rivalry, and they even made a website to show just how serious they are. “If ten people Moon Big Papi, they’ll be arrested,” the website says. “If ten thousand people

Stop What You’re Doing And Watch Ohio State’s Noah Brown Make All-Time Great Cat…

Share this: If you aren’t watching the Ohio State-Oklahoma game, you missed one of the best college football plays you’ll ever see. The Buckeyes’ Noah Brown went up to catch a 21-yard touchdown pass with six seconds remaining in the first half, but Sooners defensive back Michiah Quick was all over him and prevented Brown from seeing the ball come his way. But Brown somehow still made an incredible circus catch off Quick’s back, giving his team a 35-17 lead at the half. Oh. My. Goodness. It’s probably safe to say we’ll see that TD reception a few more times the rest of the season — and beyond. Thumbnail photo via Kevin Jairaj/USA TODAY Sports Images More Stories Source link
