The Atlanta Braves rookie shortstop made his Major League Baseball debut on Aug. 17, and his first round-tripper came Tuesday against the Washington Nationals. But Swanson’s home run never left the yard. Instead, Swanson sent a ball to deep center field, where it took a big bounce off the wall. The speedy 22-year-old was able to stretch it into an inside-the-park home run by running the bases in 14.97 seconds. Swanson was the Arizona Diamondbacks’ No. 1 pick out of Vanderbilt in the 2015 draft. He was one of the players the Braves got in return for pitcher Shelby Miller.
