Share this: Some people are just more competitive than others. In the spirit of Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook, who destroys his opponents mercilessly night in and night out, Rumble the Bison, the team’s official mascot, got ultra competitive during an intermission game of musical chairs during OKC’s final preseason game Tuesday night, a 97-87 victory over the Denver Nuggets. Observe. Not only did Rumble just destroy this poor kid in musical chairs, he actually taunted him as he (hilariously) walks away completely defeated. There’s really no other words to describe this video, so if you need us we’ll be watching it on repeat for a while. Thumbnail photo via Mark D. Smith/USA TODAY Sports Images More Stories Source link

What Does Jerry Jones’ Tom Brady Reference Mean For Cowboys’ QB Debate?
Share this: The Dallas Cowboys have an impending quarterback controversy on their hands, and the 2001 New England Patriots might be able to relate. Tony Romo is expected to return soon from a back injury that’s kept him out the entire season to date. The Cowboys haven’t exactly missed him, though, as rookie backup Dak Prescott has led Dallas to a 5-1 start. Jerry Jones initially insisted Romo would get his job back when healthy, but the Cowboys owner has backed off that stance in recent weeks. During a radio appearance Tuesday, Jones was asked if Romo deserves his job back based on his reputation alone and gave an interesting answer. “I think we all recognize that there comes a time,” Jones told 105.3 The
Microsoft Releases Statement After Bill Belichick Trashes Surface Tablets
by Zack Cox on Tue, Oct 18, 2016 at 4:47PM 1,722 Share this: Bill Belichick laid the smackdown on Microsoft’s Surface tablets Tuesday morning, calling them inconsistent and “undependable” and announcing he no longer will use them on the sideline during New England Patriots games. Belichick’s comments caused quite a stir on social media — Microsoft is, after all, an official sponsor of the NFL — prompting the tech giant to release a statement Tuesday afternoon defending its product. “We respect Coach Belichick’s decision but stand behind the reliability of Surface,” Microsoft’s statement read, via ESPN.com. “We continue to receive positive feedback on having Surface devices on the sidelines from coaches, players and team personnel across the league. In the instances where sideline issues are reported in NFL
Why Terry Francona, Mike Napoli Laughed As Trevor Bauer Left ALCS Game 3
Share this: Leave it to Tito to lighten the mood. The Cleveland Indians were dealt some adversity Monday when starter Trevor Bauer was forced to exit Game 3 of the American League Championship Series in the first inning because his finger wouldn’t stop bleeding all over the place. It was a rather disgusting scene — one that backed the Indians into a corner — but Cleveland manager Terry Francona still found some humor in the situation and shared a laugh with first baseman Mike Napoli. Here’s the story from Francona, via MLB.com’s Jordan Bastian. Bauer’s injury, of course, was no laughing matter, especially since it forced the Indians to dip into their bullpen in the opening frame. But give Francona credit for keeping things
Watch Tuukka Rask Make String Of Terrific Saves In Bruins Win Vs. Jets
Share this: That Tuukka Rask guy is pretty good at hockey. The Boston Bruins goaltender stopped 34 of 35 shots he faced Monday night in Boston’s 4-1 road win against the Winnipeg Jets. But it was one particular string of saves that earned him DCU Save of the Game honors. Check out Rask’s spectacular effort in the video above. Bruins’ Offense Was Terrific, But Tuukka Rask Won Monday’s Game For Boston
Share this: The Boston Bruins took home a decisive 4-1 victory Monday night, and while the offense should be noted in a balanced scoring attack, it’s Tuukka Rask who should make all the headlines. Boston’s goaltender stopped 34 of 35 shots he faced and kept the Winnipeg Jets scoreless on five power play attempts while Boston struggled to get moving. And the cherry on top? Rask recorded two assists — the most he’s scored in a season since 2013-14 and one shy of tying his career high for a single season. B’s coach Claude Julien joined NESN’s Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley following Monday’s road win to discuss Rask’s impact on the game, among other things. Check it out in the video above. Thumbnail
Bruins’ Brandon Carlo On Scoring First NHL Goal: ‘I Kind Of Blacked Out’
Share this: There’s nothing like scoring your first NHL goal. Unfortunately for Brandon Carlo, he might have to watch it on tape forever like the rest of us. The Boston Bruins’ rookie defenseman lit the lamp for the first time in his NHL career during Monday’s 4-1 road victory over the Winnipeg Jets, and he caught up with NESN’s Sarah Davis for a pretty terrific post game interview to discuss his milestone accomplishment. Spoiler alert: He was so excited he can hardly even remember it happening. Check out what Carlo and teammate David Pastrnak had to say about their performances in the above video from “NESN Sports Today,” presented by People’s United Bank.
