Ronda Rousey Opens Up After Loss To Holly Holm: ‘I Need To Come Back’

Ronda Rousey will be back. The former UFC bantamweight champion lost her belt to Holly Holm in UFC 193, putting an end to her undefeated streak. And while she’s been holed up in her Venice, Calif., townhouse and is “just really (expletive) sad,” there’s no way she’ll spend the rest of her career like that. “I need to come back,” Rousey told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne in an exclusive interview. “I need to beat this chick. Alain Vigneault Fires Back At Claude Julien: He ‘Needs To Check His Eyesight’

Boston Bruins coach Claude Julien got a little testy Friday after forward Brad Marchand received a questionable goaltender interference penalty against the New York Rangers, and Alain Vigneault is firing back. Julien took issue with what he believed was “acting” on goalie Henrik Lundqvist’s part after Marchand made contact with him on his way by the net, but the Rangers coach obviously did not agree. “The way Hank conducts himself on the ice, away from the rink, off the ice, the example that he sets … Who would you rather have as a son: Henrik or Brad Marchand?” Vigneault said Saturday, per CBSSports.com. “I mean, for him to say things...

Patriots Work Out Three Free-Agent Wide Receivers Including Julian Talley

FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots brought three free-agent wide receivers to Gillette Stadium on Wednesday for tryouts. Talley, who went undrafted out of UMass in 2012, was cut from the New York Giants practice squad last week. The 26-year-old 6-foot-1...

Miami Completes Miracle Comeback With Eight Laterals On Final Play (Video)

The ending to Saturday’s No. 11 Duke-Miami football game was one you need to see to believe. The Blue Devils appeared to have salvaged their undefeated ACC record with a touchdown with six seconds remaining in the game. All they had to do was prevent some crazy, last-ditch effort by the Hurricanes on the ensuing kickoff. Easier said than done. WOW! Miami completed eight laterals on the play, which was ruled a touchdown after a review determined there was no block in the back. That gave Miami the 30-27 win. Clippers’ Austin Rivers Threw Seat Cushion, Reportedly Hit Fan (Video)

Austin Rivers might have some explaining to do. Rivers, the son of former Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers and now a guard for his father’s Los Angeles Clippers, is being investigated for an incident in which he threw a seat cushion into the crowd and hit a fan, USA Today’s Sam Amick reports, citing a person with knowledge of the situation. The incident, which occurred in the fourth quarter of the Clippers’ game Wednesday against the Sacramento Kings at Sleep Train Arena, was caught on video, as can be seen below. The woman who was hit “was clearly experiencing discomfort in her eyes for quite some time after the incident,” according to Amick.
