The stage appeared to be set for an epic Divas Championship. Paige took on all competitors at WWE’s Monday Night Raw, winning the Battle Royal to set up a title match against defending champion Nikki Bella at Extreme Rules. Or so it seemed. As Paige, a native of Norwich, England, addressed the London crowd at O2 Arena, Naomi intervened with a vicious attack on the 22-year-old (the fighting begins at the 1:40 mark). That got out of hand fast. Paige was injured in the brawl, putting her status for Extreme Rules in jeopardy. After the incident, Naomi took to Twitter to make her intentions clear. It

Red Sox Wrap: Clay Buchholz Roughed Up As Yankees Avoid Sweep With 14-4 Win
The Boston Red Sox are going to want to forget about this one. The New York Yankees smacked around Clay Buchholz right out of the gate Sunday at Yankee Stadium, lighting up the right-hander for seven runs in the first inning as the home team walked away with a 14-4 win. The night pretty much summed up Buchholz’s struggles with consistency, as his first start of the season saw him spin seven shutout innings with nine strikeouts and just three hits. Things looked as though they could turn around when the Sox put up three runs in the fourth inning, but Buchholz let up three more in the bottom of the frame, and it proved
Ryan Hanigan: Joe Kelly Worked Efficiently In Win Over Yankees (Video)
After Friday night’s 19-inning marathon, the Boston Red Sox desperately needed a strong, lengthy outing from starting pitcher Joe Kelly. And Kelly delivered just that. In his 2015 debut, the right-hander pitched seven stellar innings at the Bronx, holding the New York Yankees to one hit and one run while striking out eight and walking two. Kelly, who dealt with biceps soreness in spring training, originally was expected to last just five or six innings, but needed just 93 pitches before departing after seven in Boston’s eventual 8-4 win. Kelly’s battery mate, catcher Ryan Hanigan, observed after the game that the hurler was able to ...
Fans Use Cell Phones To Help Fix Red Sox-Yankees Light Delay (Photos)
NEW YORK — The Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees dealt with a light delay Friday. A bank of lights along the facade at Yankee Stadium went out in the bottom of the 12th inning, prompting the umpires to pull the Red Sox off the field as they sorted things out. The delay lasted approximately 16 minutes. The Yankees later announced there had been a power surge throughout the ballpark. The darkness was hardly noticeable, yet play was stopped. Fortunately, the Yankees fans who stuck around had some fun with the dilemma by breaking out their cell phones as an additional source of light.
Red Sox Notes: Justin Masterson Credits ‘Luck’ For Own Offensive Effort
PHILADELPHIA — The Boston Red Sox avoided a losing streak Thursday. The Red Sox, who suffered a 4-2 loss Wednesday after an impressive Opening Day victory, jumped back into the win column by defeating the Philadelphia Phillies 6-2 in the series finale at Citizens Bank Park. Boston’s bats heated back up in the win, as the offense produced 11 hits against David Buchanan and Co. All six of the Red Sox’s runs were scored with two outs in the third inning. The Red Sox now travel to the Bronx for a three-game series against the New York Yankees. Let’s run down some additional notes from Thursday before shifting gears. — Justin...
Wisconsin Basketball Team Doesn’t Care What Skip Bayless Wants
The University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team ruined any thoughts of another iconic Kentucky-Duke clash — and they don’t give a single damn. The Badgers knocked off the undefeated University of Kentucky on Saturday night in the Final Four, earning themselves a Monday night matchup for the national title vs. Duke. There were plenty of fans who wanted to see Kentucky-Duke, and ESPN’s Skip Bayless was one of those people. The loudmouth pundit fired off this tweet Saturday night. Well, as you could imagine, that tweet found its way to the Wisconsin hoops team, and also as you could imagine, it didn’t sit well with them. They responded in...
Red Sox-Yankees Rivalry: Will Boston, New York Fans Ever Get Along? (Video)
When the Red Sox broke the Curse of the Bambino back in 2004, a lot of people thought the great rivalry between Boston and New York would fade. NESN.com’s Ashley Allen caught up with those fans for the inside scoop. Thumbnail photo via Greg M. Cooper/USA TODAY Sports Images Next Article >> Pa...
