Is there anything Steph Curry can’t do? We’ve seen the Golden State Warriors point guard hit incredible, mind-boggling shots before. His pregame shooting routines — which include pull-up jumpers often from just a step inside the logo at halfcourt — practically are Hall of Fame-worthy displays on their own. But doing it during a game is something entirely different. There really aren’t any words that can do this justice, other than maybe shouting some indiscernible things through your screen in caps lock. So instead of doing that, we’re going to shut up and let you marvel at the magic that is Steph Curry. Curry’s magic wa...

Bruins Notes: B’s Reverse Third-Period Curse, Leapfrog Canadiens In East
by Zack Cox on Sat, Jan 16, 2016 at 8:00AM 1,147 For the first time all season, the Montreal Canadiens are looking up at the Boston Bruins in the Eastern Conference standings. The Bruins’ 4-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Friday night allowed them to leapfrog the idle Habs, who were the East’s top team for the first month of the season but have lost 14 of their last 18 games. Friday’s contest was as close to a must-win for the Bruins as a mid-January game can get. The B’s had dr...
Berkshire Bank Faceoff: Projected Lines, Pairings For Bruins-Sabres
by Zack Cox on Fri, Jan 15, 2016 at 4:43PM 1,549 David Pastrnak is expected to miss his second consecutive game as the Boston Bruins look to close out their underwhelming five-game road trip on a high note. Pastrnak, who sat out Wednesday’s loss to the Philadelphia Flyers with an upper body injury, reportedly participated in morning skate at the First Niagara Center but is not expected to suit up Friday night against the Buffalo Sabres. “I don’t think he’ll be going again (Friday...
Upset St. Louis Fans Send $250 ‘Poop Cocktail’ To Rams Owner Stan Kroenke
St. Louis is not taking the Rams’ relocation to Los Angeles very well. Fans are tossing their jerseys, chanting their dislike for Rams owner Stan Kroenke at a St. Louis Blues game and now a select few are sending a $ 250 “poop cocktail” to Kroenke’s doorstep. That’s right: St. Louis radio show host Kelly Manno literally is sending a box of animal excrement to Kroenke as a parting gift for the Los Angeles Rams owner. “St. Louis is pissed off,” Manno said on her Monday podcast. “And here’s one thing that I have learned about St. Louis through this whole debacle. St. Louis is like having a crazy relative that you can talk bad ab...

Picabo Street, a 2002 Gold medalist skier, was arrested last month and later charged with assault, according to the Associated Press, citing charging documents. The 44-year-old reportedly locked her 76-year-old father in the basement before calling authorities. She told police that her father had pulled her hair as a result of a fight, the report states. Her father, Roland Street, told police his daughter “got angry and started yelling after he bumped his car into the house while trying to leave,” according to documents cited by the AP. Street then allegedly grabbed her father by the neck a...
NHL Power Rankings 2015-16: Stanley Cup Finalists Blackhawks, Lightning Surging
Don’t look now, but the defending Eastern Conference champions are heating up. The Tampa Bay Lightning have won three straight games and six of their last 10 to leapfrog the Boston Bruins and take the first wild card playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Second-line center Tyler Johnson has battled injuries this season, but he’s back in the lineup and scored his first goal since Nov. 25 during Tuesday night’s win over the Colorado Avalanche. Steven Stamkos scored twice and Ondrej Palat scored another, while No. 1 goalie Ben Bishop made 21 saves for a 4-0 shutout. Bishop has carried Tampa Bay for most of the campaign, but the team’s rece...
Lane Kiffin Misses Team Bus After Alabama Beats Clemson In Title Game
Lane Kiffin had to call an audible shortly after Alabama defeated Clemson in Monday night’s College Football Playoff National Championship. The Alabama offensive coordinator was talking to reporters while walking out of University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., when he noticed the team buses pulling away, according to reports. Kiffin tried to whistle to a security guard to stop the final bus, according to FOXSports.com, but his attempt was unsuccessful. Fortunately for Kiffin, help arrived in the form of Alabama head coach Nick Saban. A vehicle was waiting for Saban, who usually misses the team bus after games, so Kiffin was able to catch a ...
